领导 Classes

Student 领导

Available to students in 10th, 11th and 12th grade, our yearlong Student 领导 course focuses on developing students as leaders who nurture the Spartan Family and build a positive school climate for our community. Rooted in the mission of De La Salle, the course seeks to develop student's personal and executive leadership 技能 through research, 主动学习, 协作, 团队建设, project management, 和反射. 学生 will design and implement diverse and inclusive student-focused experiences that promote Spartan Pride through leadership, 服务, 精神, 和有趣的. The course requires students to be available during lunch break and community time. It is open to anyone interested in building their leadership 技能 and serving the school community. Members of class council, club officers, and 板载! leaders are strongly encouraged to enroll.

服务 领导

In addition to the 服务 and philanthropy efforts that permeate our school, we also offer a 服务 领导 course that uses the Multiplying Good (formerly known as Jefferson Awards 学生 in Action) curriculum to help students develop as leaders, set goals for improving their communities, engage others in 服务, and have a positive, measurable impact on the world. The course meets during the 7th period and students learn the 技能 of fundraising, 市场营销, 媒体关系, 建议写, project management, and impact documentation by coordinating several high-visibility, 全校性的, and community-wide 服务 projects and events.

Lasallian 领导

Our Lasallian 领导 course offers the knowledge, 技能, and opportunities to create, 计划, and run various 校园部 programs throughout the school year. 学生 will learn the essentials of liturgical theology and how to implement powerful liturgies and prayer experiences for their peers. Participants will also learn essential leadership 技能 like project management, 同伴交往, liturgical messaging, and 协作. A big emphasis of this course is on theological reflection so that the students can better discern their gifts and talents, and how they can use these to serve God and others. Everything about the course is done through the lens of our Lasallian Catholic charism.
